Holiday Wishes card

This card is for Corri's card sketch challenge for December on Paper Issues F&F Facebook group.
I layered bits from Pink Paislee, Basic Grey, American Crafts, and really old Scenic Route.

Cards

I loved the tree stamps and made the paper take on a vintage look by dragging the edge of a inked paper from an ink pad over the card.
I double stamped the title in red and black.
Using Photo Play paper to make a 40th birthday card.
More 40th birthday card images.

Dear Santa

I love drawing inspiration from mood boards and this month at Paper Issues is no different! Check out this Pinspired board:
I loved the large dandelion and translated that into the mega snowflake. The striped background is a cut file from Just Nick Studio and worked with design images from the striped onesie. I pulled in the Color Cast Designs wood veneer to bring in the circle image and background color of the onesie along with the Pink Paislee tag.
I used a variety of Simple Stories DIY Christmas, Bella Blvd, and Studio Calico papers.
This layout will link up to Paper Issues issue called, "Owl I want for Christmas."

Owl I Want for Christmas card

Fancy Pants Designs True Friend collection owl was the perfect size to pop up over Chic Tags pocket page card. The   owl replaces "All" for a fun play on words. This card goes right into the current issue on the PI blog.
I popped up the owland sentiment card. Next, I added stitching, twine, a Dear Lizzy cork bow, and AC stars to add textures. A quick card to go with my favorite Mariah Carey Christmas song (minus the owl) in the lyrics!! Happy Holidays!

Happiness

For the Fall crop at PI, they had a mood board challenge.  The mint, gray, and gold popped out at me as a great starting point for this layout.  The children posed for pictures this autumn and they make us so filled with love and happiness!  It was easy to find a title to connect to my kiddos! I layered several papers and textures to the Pink Paislee Memorandum paper border.  I love the minty/aqua acrylic frame tucked under the photo. I added the tag, flair, and gold splats of paint to complete this page.

Thankful

The October swag bag from Paper Issues was packed with fun Fall colors to create this collage of my four kids at a recent photo shoot at the nearby Lochness Park.
I love the AmericanCrafts wood grain card stock that I used as the background. It fits with the rustic textures in the design layers.
I am linking it up to the Gratitude issue on the paper Issues blog.

Be the Good

This white outline map paper was in a Studio Calico kit and was perfect for the longer title I wanted to use. I added Amy Tangerine Finders Keepers and Thickers from her previous Rise and Shine collection.
I added silver stickers from Pink Paislee Bella Rouge, black stitching, silver enamel dots, and white acrylic paint splatters.
Thanks for the inspiration, Paper Issues November mood board!

You Shine

I had watercolored the triangles for a layout background from a class lesson from Ashley Horton for Big Picture Classes and put them to use in ombré fashion on this beach page.
I added stitching in various places to add texture and interest.
Check out The Cut Shoppe for the cut file for the word Shine and all of my other favorites.

Creepy Crawloween!

A quick card using Paper Issues' spider web cut file.
It is always fun to find a perfect paper in your stash that works with a theme. The web is enlarged from a grouping of spider web cut file found free in the Paper Issues store.

Poolside

Scraplift Sunday is always inspiring at Paper Issues Fans and Friends group on Facebook. This was my take of Alex' layout. Here's my ode to surviving mom life with coffee. Shimelle's True Stories collection has great pops of bright primary colors to use with documenting everyday life!
I added flair from Shop Evalicious to add to my coffee theme. The navy Thickers from Crate Paper Poolside are a perfect match with Shimelle's collection.
I'm a fan of the Shimelle die cut pack, printed vellum, and wooden buttons. I loved the humor on the hotel coffee cups as I sat watching my kiddos in the indoor waterpark last winter.

beautiful fall

The new Shine collection by Maggie Homes was fun to personalize with this golden tone picture of my daughter in the leaves. Check out the Paper Issues online store for the free Fall list printable I used on this layout.
I cut off the corners of the paper and alternated neutral papers in its place. I added layers of golden floral vellum, Shine's gold glitter Thickers, quote cards, tone on tone stickers, flair, and a button to bring in another diamond shape.
Here's a close up of the gold stitching, roller stamp phrases, and PI printable.
I added American Crafts gold acrylic paint splatters to finish off the page and bring your eye around the page. Hope you have time to soak in some golden days of Fall, as well!

Love this Girl!

I love the fun quick videos and classes at Big Picture Classes. This layout was inspired from Paige's Pages 3 on using scraps to create a concentric star. The new Amy Tangerine line Finder's Keepers, was perfect to make a school themed page with the skinny pencils.
Her new Thickers are the best! I can't wait to use them on more projects. The white acrylic paint is always a good idea to add a bit of random interest to a page.
The painted wood Thickers are super fun to use and added another texture to the layout.
My go-to technique of stitching is used to adhere the paper pieces to the Silhouette sketched stars and the border layer on the edge. Happy fall and busy school  schedules!

Cherish This Today

The fall leaves are changing and it prompted me to bust out some pictures from last year. The Cut Shoppe does it again with these fantastic leaf cut files and block-out words to back with paper scraps. I stitched the leaves down in swirls.
I added American Crafts gold acrylic paint to the background and added Seven's Amelia gold dot vellum to float my pictures in the leaves.
I added Freckled Fawn washi tape and arrow paper clip to finish off this fun fall page. As for my favorite Kal Barteski script white Thickers for Amy Tangerine, yes, I may have stocked up!!

First Day of School

It was fun to showcase first day pictures in speech bubbles with sentiments from Amy Tangerine's Stitched collection.
I'm a big lover of stitching all the things. I added several layers and bits from her papers.
I finished with spray mist drops.
Paper Issues blog has a link up and this fits the back to school theme option. Check it out!

You Shine...Like, Totally

The card's central focus is the free printable from Paper Issues. I stitched the   sunburst and fit papers in between the stitched wedges. I added stitching over the paper pieces and added the sun center. I inked the edges of the sentiments and added enamel dots.
This card is linked to the newest issue on Paper Issues blog.

Sweet Smiles of Summer

Today I'm showing how I created two layouts from one background cut file.
The Geometric Swirls cut file can be found under free files on the Paper Issues store page.
I cut away some of the outer "heart" area so the words on the new Pinkfresh Studio paper could show through.
I love Pinkfresh's new glittered foam words and hearts. It worked great with Disney pictures.
For the second layout, I used the negative cuts to create the background and pieces to form water droplets.
I watered down acrylic paint and blew it to add splashes around the photo. The word "Splash" comes from Just Nick Studio.
I tucked in my journaling and called this second page done. Try out creating pages using inspiration from positive and negative parts of the cut files.

Meet Me in the Sunshine

Paper Issues has a themed link up for "It's all about that Face."  This theme fit perfect with my stack of travel pictures in the sun with palm trees over spring break.  I loved this colorful paper from Webster's Pages. I added Dear Lizzy Serendipity ephemera to coordinate with the background.
This printable can be found in the Paper Issues free files section. I added a Evalicious sticker to finish off the card. My title Thickers are from Amy Tangerine's Rise and Shine collection tie in the  horizontal elements in this layout.
Have a day filled with colorful fun!
